Contractor Opportunity: Registered Psychologists and Registered Provisional Psychologists
Location: #202, 9080 25 Ave SW, Edmonton, Alberta
Authentic You: Counselling, Assessment & Addictions Services Inc. is hiring multiple clinicians in Edmonton. Our focus includes addictions, trauma, identity, expression, preference, and relationship work. We support teens, adults, older adults, couples, and families. We do not work with children clients.

Compensation
Registered Psychologists
• 65/35 split
• 70/30 split once you maintain 30 consistent clients per week for three consecutive months
• Splits our negotiable depending on experience in the field
Registered Provisional Psychologists
• 55/45 split
• 60/40 split once you maintain 25 consistent clients per week for three consecutive months
• External supervision required
Required
• Registered or Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Competence in addictions counselling
• Trauma informed or integrative clinical practice
• Experience with neurodivergent clients
• Affirming care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients
• Comfort with sex and gender therapy
• Comfort with a broad range of presenting concerns and diagnoses
• Ability to work with various therapeutic modalities
• Willingness to accept referrals within ethical limits
• Clear communication and consistent follow-through
• Minimum 2 clinic days per week
• Minimum caseload of 12 clients per week
Additional Responsibilities
Clinicians to complete requested documentation and forms for their clients, including:
• Short and long-term disability forms
• Disability Tax Credit forms
• MVA and insurance reports
• PCN referrals
• Gender clinic documentation
• WCB psychological injury reporting
• Letters for physicians, family doctors, psychiatrists, lawyers, and other professionals
All documentation must be accurate and completed in a timely manner. Clinicians must also respond to internal email requests from admin or the director within 24 to 48 business hours depending on urgency.
Assets
• Experience with psychological, diagnostic, or forensic assessments
• Experience with addictions or other risk assessments
• Strong clinical writing skills
• Experience in private practice
• Interest in group or recovery focused programming

Scope of Services
Counselling Services May Include:
• Trauma-focused individual therapy
• Addictions counselling and relapse prevention
• Sex, gender, intimacy, and identity work
• Anxiety, depression, burnout, and mood disorder treatment
• Life transitions, grief, and identity exploration
• Relationship and attachment-based counselling
• Support for first responders, caregivers, and helping professionals
• Culturally responsive and inclusive care
Assessment Services May Include:
• Psychological assessments
• Addictions and risk assessments
• Forensic assessments
• Return-to-work, disability, and functional evaluations
Assessment work is optional based on training and interest.
Addictions Services May Include:
• Therapy for substance use and behavioural addictions
• Harm reduction, abstinence-based, or blended recovery models
• Stages of change and motivational interviewing
• Psychoeducation and family support
• Outpatient and inpatient referral coordination
• Opportunities to co-develop groups, recovery programming, and integrated pathways
