Meet AYP's Melissa - Clinical Care Administrator


Melissa is one of our highly skilled Clinical Care Administrator's at Authentic You Psychology, bringing over 18 years of experience as a medical administrative assistant and receptionist. Her extensive professional background includes working in private practice for psychologists, where she developed a deep understanding of the administrative, billing and operational needs of private practice.


In her role, Melissa is responsible for managing administrative and billing functions with precision and professionalism. She ensures the seamless coordination of appointments, client communications, and financial processes, contributing to the efficient and effective operation of the clinic. Melissa’s expertise in medical administration, combined with her strong organizational skills, ensures that every client experience is handled with care and professionalism.


Melissa graduated from CDI College’s Medical Administrative Assistant program in 2007 and holds a diploma in Medical Terminology from NAIT, earned in 2005. Her attention to detail and dedication to excellence make her an invaluable part of the Authentic You Psychology team.

Meet AYP's Rachael -

Clinical Care Administrator

Rachael brings over a decade of experience as a healthcare coordinator to her role as Clinical Care Administrator at Authentic You Psychology. With a diploma in Business Administration Management, she has developed a strong foundation in operational efficiency and client-focused support. For the past nine years, Rachael has worked closely with physicians across various specialties, gaining valuable insights into the unique challenges within the healthcare sector.


Rachael’s expertise lies in providing essential behind-the-scenes support, enabling clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care. Her passion for administrative excellence ensures a seamless experience for clients and healthcare professionals alike. As someone deeply engaged in the field of mental health, she recognizes the importance of compassion, confidentiality, and professionalism in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

Karen Gaudin -Registered Psychologist

Karen is a dedicated and experienced Registered Psychologist with a deep passion for helping her clients overcome challenges and achieve personal growth by supporting them to be the most authentic versions of themselves!


She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grant MacEwan University (2010) and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle (2020). Her thesis research on student alcoholism screenings was presented at the AARE Conference in 2011 and subsequently published, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practices in psychology.


With over 15 years of experience in the field of addictions, Karen has cultivated a robust specialization in this area. She spent 11 years at Homewood Health (2009–2020), starting as an Addictions Case Manager before advancing to Addictions Program Manager. From 2020 to 2023, she served as Addiction Clinical Lead at Insight Psychological, further honing her expertise in addiction-focused care. In addition to her extensive work in addictions, Karen has provided both counselling and formal assessment services in private practice since 2019 and became a Registered Psychologist in 2022.


Karen’s career is driven by a lifelong curiosity about the human mind and a profound dedication to making a positive impact in her community. She considers it an incredibly special privilege to support individuals on their therapeutic journeys.
