Registered & Provisional Psychologists!

Authentic You is a growing private practice in southside Edmonton focused on creating a safe, inclusive, and supported environment for clinicians and clients alike.

We’re hiring both Registered and Provisional Psychologists (with external supervision) to join our newly expanded space, in a therapeutic location formerly home to a grief and trauma practice. We're hoping compassionate and motivated clinicians will join us in co-creating a practice rooted in authenticity, autonomy, and community.

Authentic You began as a solo venture, built through word-of-mouth, strategic marketing, and a strong online presence. Today, it's a thriving and trusted space for mental health support for our clients in Alberta and British Columbia.

We're proud to say that even without a traditional referral network, we’ve grown steadily—thanks to meaningful client outcomes, creation of online profiles on various advertising platforms, engaging on our social media, our website, and a brand that resonates with people.

Now, we’re building a small, intentional team: a special community of professionals who feel supported to show up exactly as they are, to do their best work with their most aligned populations and selves, and to grow personally and professionally; all while being fairly compensated and valued for their contributions!

Registered Psychologists
• 65/35 split  in your favour
• Eligible for 70/30  after 1 year or 25+ clients/week

Provisional Psychologists (with external supervision)
• 55/45 split
• Eligible for 60/40 after 1 year or 20+ clients/week

Scope of Services – Counselling, Assessment & Addictions:

At Authentic You, we support clinicians in building a caseload that reflects their passions and areas of expertise, while offering a wide range of opportunities to grow within their niche. We take pride in matching clients with clinicians aligned to their needs and values—and providing strong infrastructure for ongoing referrals, both internal and external.

Clinicians at our practice may work with their clients in person or via telepsych methods such as video and phone sessions, with the freedom to offer services that reflect their unique approach, identity, and clinical strengths.

Counselling Services May Include:

-Trauma-informed individual therapy

-Addictions counselling and relapse prevention planning

-Gender, sex, and intimacy therapy (2SLGBTQIA+ affirming)

-Anxiety, depression, burnout, and mood disorder support

-Life transitions, identity exploration, grief and loss

-Relationship and attachment-based counselling

-Support for first responders, caregivers, and helping professionals

-Culturally responsive and inclusive care

Assessment Services May Include:

-Psychological assessments

-Addictions assessments

-Risk assessments

-Forensic assessments

-Return-to-work, disability, or functional capacity assessments

Assessment services are optional and available based on clinician training and interest.

Addictions Services May Include:

-Individual therapy for substance use and behavioural addictions (e.g., gambling, sex, technology)

-Harm reduction, abstinence-based, or blended approaches

-Stages of change and motivational interviewing integration

-Recovery planning and relapse prevention

-Psychoeducation. partner and family support

-Outpatient referral support (e.g., community programs, detox, recovery housing)

-Inpatient referral coordination (e.g., residential treatment, stabilization, sober living)

-Future opportunities to co-develop in-house addiction services, such as:

-Psychoeducational or recovery support groups

-Structured group therapy offerings

-Addiction-informed assessment and care pathways

Addictions services are optional and available based on clinician training and interest.

What You’ll Receive:

• A private, fully furnished office, in a purpose built therapy space
• Full administrative support (including billing, bookings, inquiries)
• Use of Jane, secure communications and telepsych platforms
• Strong online presence and all marketing handled for you
• Flexibility to create your own schedule and shape your own caseload
• Optional peer consultation, opportunities for collaboration, and social events
• A culture of acceptance, openness, humour, and real support

Who You Are:

• A Registered or Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
• External supervision arranged (if provisional)
• Skilled in, or curious about, working with diverse populations and therapeutic approaches
• Interested in (or experienced with) working with adults with addictions, trauma, sex and gender therapy, or formal assessments, including psychological and forensic is a valuable asset (but not required!)
• Values authenticity, autonomy, and a non-competitive, supportive, collaborative culture
• Brings ethical integrity and a strong client-centred orientation
